If he's biting to play with you then I would tell him a stern NO or NO BITE. If he does it again tell him no again and ignor him. Pretty soon he will realize that biting does not get him the play time and attention he desires.

Also I always make my baby sit before we play. It helps to calm her down and reinforces the sit command...instead of a treat she gets to play. I also do this if she starts to get too excited.
