They stick in their cliques, and think their kids are the best athletes on the planet. It's all so high school. They stir up drama with as many team parents as they can instead of being supportive. They like to come across like they know it all and want to tell the people who volunteered their time how to do everything. They don't sign up for much, I guess so they can sit in their own little huddle together. One of the ladies is mad because her husband didn't get to coach the team after trying to patition the current coach (for 8 years) out of the non-paying job. My son had her husband for coach for 2 years and hated football. After moving to varsity he's now come to love the game. So many parents begged the coach we have now to please stay as they didn't want the other one. This lady and her husband try to do all of this so they can make their own kid a star. Why can't some of them cut the umbilical chord and if the kid has talent it will shine. By the time they are 13,14-15 years old they need your encourgment and support but not your bullying to keep them in the spotlight.
Ok, I've rambled enough. I'm just very disappointed in how some of these grown ups behave. We have good support too. Just aggravating when you have a certain group that puts their own spin on things to make all look bad when they don't get their way. | I agree with this. Or when the coach is a parent of one of the kids on the team and that kid never gets benched, but everyone else gets bench time.
