I think you are right about being concerned on the size, i have a few friends who have dogs of different sizes, one of them has a big German Shepard and a tiny yorkie, she is fine as the yorkie "terrior" takes care of the G.S. but the other has a mix and a yorkie, she needs to keep them separate all the time, the mix does hurt the tiny yorkie, they like to play rough and that is the problem.

I'm not a whim person either. I'm probably the hugest planner that I've ever known. lol.

I think it will just depend on teh dog, like you said. It's just hard since I have to work and won't be able to supervise full time for the first month or however long it would take for the big dog to learn to play nice.
