Hi Danielle! My hubby and I are the same way! We both grew up with very little outside of necessities, and so I guess we try to make up for it now! Personally, I'm thankful I've had to work hard for everything I've ever had. I hope to pass both of our family's history of strong work ethics onto our children someday...but I would like to be able to spoil them a tiny bit! We try so hard to put a lot in the bank...but we realize life is too precious to hoard every penny! He's deploying soon, and thats totally put things even more into perspective for us.
