I concur with Ann.

Rabies and DHP need to be given as pup shots and then as one year boosters.
After that the schedule can be changed, so you don't have to do them yearly. A one year rabies booster is required by law in most or all states that let you give it every three years.

As far as lifetime immunity and/or giving vaccines every three years, there are so many protocols out there, it is difficult to decide. All I would say is if DHP is given every year or every other year, it is probably way too much.
