Reaching my wit's end, I talked to the vet. He told me he could sell me some stuff but what he really recommened was Cains Meat Tenderizer. You can get it in the spice isle at the grocery store. It needs to be that brand. After trying pumpkin, pineapple, nasty habit pills, etc., this worked for us. Be sure it is Cains and I would sprinkle it on their evening canned food we serve them. We have done it for several months.
It has worked like a charm. It is working to the point that, for various reasons, I have not given them any for a few weeks and we have not had any poop eating!!
I don't know if it will help with the playing part, I would think it might but at a $1 or 2, it would be worth a try!!
