Anyways, how long does it really takes to potty train the yorkie?

I am looking for one, a puppy preferably, and i read so many different things about them.

I found great information browsing but this would be a concern for me. I want to be sure of what i may be getting into.

Can you give a time frame of how long it takes to get one potty trained?

Thanks.

It's much faster if you crate train them and follow the rules. I was able to crate Joey at night but kept him in a playpen with pee pads during the day, unless I was able to absolutely keep my eye on him. I actually think it's easier for people who work, because they don't hear them cry, when they want out of the crate or playpen, and I could never stand to hear him whine, it broke my heart, so I allowed him out most of the time. If you keep lots of pee pads close, they catch on pretty fast, but they aren't going to walk very far to find one. He learned on the wood floors much faster than he learned on the carpet, because the carpet is so much like a giant pee pad. This site has some excellent tips, on housebreaking, and training them to either go outside or use pee pads. Free House Training for Puppies and Adult Dogs - No More Accidents Starting Today!
