I never ask my vet dew claws my litters.I leave it on. But I think if I knew how to do it myself I would of do it too this morning.
Removing the dew claws is really easy. I just use a small pair of cuticle scissors and just cut at the base of the dew claw and remove the 'seed'. Nail clippers do not usually get the whole dew claw but the cuticle scissors can. After removing the dew claw I just put on a drop of Clotisol. There is usually no bleeding.
