That should be a parent's job, not something a celebrity should be responsible for! Furthermore, it's up to each parent to decide if Vick or anyone else is someone they want to allow their kids to look up to. (Although I can't imagine why anyone would!)

I think generally speaking and putting the matter simply: People dislike the fact that Vick is going to be allowed to go back to a job where he will be in the public eye and where he will be making lots of money.
Oh Misty please!
Yes it is the parents responsibility to shape and influence their children. But in this country we have too many children living in homes that do NOT have that type of parent. If we did then there would be no need for police departments and jails! How many young men (and women) do you think are out there right this very minute getting their dogs ready to fight. These children are being raised in that environment and Vick's behaviors just adds credence to it. The thought process is "OK Vick got caught but he only went to jail for a short time and is back earning millions. - So it can't be that wrong!" If we animal lovers and protectors ever hope to win the battle against abuses like dog fighting we HAVE to make sure that the punishment fits the crime and the vicious circle is broken just as in child abuse. I still can't get over the fact that Vick did not do it for the money. He did it for enjoyment! OMG!
