Do I think he is someone who deserves to be celebrated? No...I would probably actually go in protest if I lived there.

I wonder, and I didn't see it anywhere, is it the actual CITY itself, as in the governing bodies, that is throwing the celebration, or is it citizens within the city?
If it is actually the city itself throwing it, then that is absolutely ridiculous and no, I don't think it's acceptable. If it's the citizens themselves, then I think that is their right to do so. Although again, I think they are off their rockers and he doesn't deserve being exhaulted. And I think that if it's individuals hosting it, they should have to do it in a private location, not a public one.
