I also have this in my left foot. I apply ice and exercise it. If you pull your toes UP..like you are trying to bend them backwards and hold this should help the pain. My doctor told me to ice it and take advil for the pain, or any other type of inflammatory. I have a friend who is a mailman..he has is bad too. Unfortunately walking is what causes this, and he has to walk all day long. He had a cortisone shot and it did nothing. He said he wouldn't advise it but, that would be up to you. I have another male friend that had surgery..his foot is worse now than it was before and he walks on the side of his foot. I am going to a podiatrist at the end of the month to have arch supports made for my shoes. there is also a sock type thing that you can buy that you wear at night, It keeps your toes UP do it is stretching that tendon..Believe me...I know the pain you are in. hope you can find something that will work.
