I tried freezing a water bottle and roling it under my feet and the stretches, even specially fitted shoes that were supposed to help. These things maybe helped a little but did not help enough. But around the same time I finally got diagnosed with a thyroid problem. I know this sounds crazy, but after I had it removed and got my thyroid hormones right, my feet stopped hurting. I wrote about this on a health site and many, many others said they had the exact same experience. Don't know if you have ever looked into thyroid problems or have any other symptoms that might point to it, but I had to mention it. Many people have Plantar Faciitis without a thyroid problem so yours may not be related at all. I just thought I would mention my experience.
Its funny you should say this because I do attribute it to my thyroid problems... I have had one problem after another every since I was diagnosed with hypo.. its crazy what it has done to my body! I am a firm believer that a prescription drug is what sent my thyroid into a tailspin.. So unfair that one doctor can make an error and I have to pay for the rest of my life.
