I haven't heard that olive oil is bad for yorkies, in any case i use a very small amount.
I use this canned spray, and perhaps at most the sprays would dispense 1/4 of a teaspoon per batch of 3 sweet potatoes.
The function is just to "brown" the chips and create a bit of a crunchy bite..

I have tried making them without the olive oil, and they like it fine, but i prefer it with the olive oil..
