Maggie who has a cottony coat in the first place took up gum chewing! She had gum in her legs, lips, beard, what a mess. I called my sis (groomer) in a panic and she said to rub peanut butter into and try to comb out the gum. She said if I could not get it all out, just leave the pb in for awhile and try again. It worked wonderfully. I was sure she would be a matted mess and was not. I even used chunky
. Next time she matts I am going to try the pb on the matt. I bet it will work (but probably will have to be washed out).
