I know for my Bailey, She takes fits when ever i leave home but we leave the TV on for her as well as give her a kong toy. She has IBS so she cannot have any treats at all so i put some of her wet prescrotion food in it put it in the freezer then take it out when i leave and it keeps her occupied for hours. Kong toys are very strong and i trust them so i hope this helps and they have all kinds of stuff'n to put in it. Dogs love them. goodluck
