Hi, guys. I think there may be something else going on, and that is that he knows what is going on about Australia, or at least that you are worried about something. I say that because as soon as I start talking to my housekeeper about taking a trip, Samantha's behavior changes. She doesn't want me to get dressed, is much more clingy - usually she is very independent, and sometimes cries when I go out. Normally, my going out doesn't bother her at all.

I totally understand about the walking. I never take Samantha out because Cairo is not dog friendly, either. Because of the feral dogs, the city puts out poison. Private clubs are also out. A friend of mine had her dog poisoned at the most exclusive private club because they put out poison for the crows. There are also many large dogs off leash at the clubs and one never knows whether they are well trained or even whether they have had their shots. So she goes for day care at her school/club/kennel once a week and that has helped enormously. Maybe you could find a place like that for Dolce. We only have this one in Cairo.
