Just buy them somewhere you can return them. Loki loves his wire crate and we used a small 18" one for crate training and then got him a bigger one once he was trained. He can still see us and it's easy to clean.

He HATED his plastic travel crate. HATED like he would cry like he was dying and he would immediately pee and poop in it so we would take him out. He did not react like that to his wire crate. We ended up returning it and bought Loki a booster seat for the car. He loves that.

Loki would chew through a soft crate. He is not a destructive chewer at all, however he would not be able to resist chewing on the mesh and fabric on the first one.

We have traveled with the wire one - ours collapes. It's easy to set up!
