| Thank-you Bama for researching into this for me. That is so sweet for you to do for me and my little one. I called my old vet in Michigan (specializes in small animals) Dr. Bader, he referred to what is happening a gready eater. Yes, eating to fast and that she doesn't have good swallowing reflexes yet. This will improve in about a week or so if all goes well. Meaning I could still lose her. That I should keep her on mom and up her supplemental feeding as she hasn't gained or lost weight. And this should help her dehydration as well. (which by the way has improved some over the last couple of days. ) Dr. Bader also told me that this happens in all breeds of dogs, so it is not a yorkie thing and it happens, but not real common.... So please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and I will keep everyone posted...Hopefully with continued good news. |
