Tatum is now almost two years old and almost 5 lbs. so I can't speak much on the puppy issue but I know I like to take the Nutrical with me when we go to the ballpark in the summer and places like that. If I know she's going to be playing real hard and/or it's hot outside, I keep it handy. We call it her "go-go juice"! If she's had a really long day and played really hard outside with our Aust. Shepherd with not much rest, I'll give her some. We've never had any hypoglycemic episodes even when she was exactly 1 lb. when we brought her home at 9 weeks. The breeder sent us home with a new tube of Nutrical and told us all about it. Hope that helps as far as what to expect down the road.
