The last thing I would have guessed was that it hurt to Sit, but I just tried switching the command to Down, and it's like a different dog. He obeys instantly. That would explain why he dithers about getting help onto the couch too.
Of course, now I'm wondering IS he in pain? What could it be? Should I take him to the vet? He is only three years old.
