I left my puppy home alone for the first time (I was gone for 6 hours), and he chewed his pee-pad to bits. I cleaned up the mess and ran a 30 minute errand he did the same thing. How do I keep him off the pee-pad without de-training his potty. If I train him not to stand on the pee-pad because I'm afraid he'll chew it up, I'm afraid he will stop using it. I have him well trained to use the pee-pad at 11 weeks old and he's pretty receptive to me saying no.

I'm also afraid of coming home and finding him dead from eating pee-pads. What do I do?
