Our dalmatian had allergies bad (they are very prone to them). For her the worst thing was carpet. I taught her to lay on her blanket only (100% cotton) and that helped. The next worst thing was grass. Again I discouraged her from laying on it. She still had very itchy feet and behind (from sitting on stuff). As she got older it got worse and worse, she got sensitive to just about everything. Man-made fibers were always the worst (so couch, carpet, nylon fabric, etc). I bought denim couch covers and did all I could to keep her off the things that aggravated her. Don't overlook food allergies, they are probably the easiest fix. We had our dal on lamb and rice, we had to stay away from all other grains and meats.
