A few years ago, I was manager of a dept in our local authority, a young lad came up to me one day and said so and so is saying this and that about you, obviously trying to stir up some trouble.
I replied to him, " that's great"
He asked why
I replied " well if he is talking about me he is leaving other people alone"
I took great pleasure in carrying on normally, knowing that my comment would have got up the skin of the offender. |
