Yes, there is alot to learn before you attempt to breed. Hey! You're in McKenny, Texas. You might consider contacting the Bluebonnet Yorkshire Terrier Club of Greater Fort Worth & Dallas. Lots of experienced breeders there. My mentor is the President of the Club. Go to YTCA.org, then the Regional Clubs, you can get contact info there.
Don't get all that excited, breeding is not all it's cracked up to be. There is someone on the breeding page right now, whelping a litter.
