If Marley isn't producing enough tears, that is a separate issue from the ulcers, but most likely caused them.

He needs to have a test done to see if he is producing enough tears on his own. If he isn't, he will need drops for the rest of his life or surgery. If you read the link I posted above, it will explain dry eye/KCS.

KCS can be genetic in Yorkies. Did you get a health guarantee?

I forgot to answer your other question.

You can use an eyewash to cleanse his eyes. I like Collyrium:
