Yeah you have to be 10-12 days past ovulation for the pregnancy test to work. That's why they say "5 days sooner" because if you have a 28 day cycle and you ovulate on day 14 then you will be 10-12 dpo at day 24-26, which is "5 days sooner" than day 29 which would be the first missed day. But not all women ovulate on day 14 and who knows when you ovulated (or didn't) if you are on the pill. The pill should suppress ovulation unless you forget to take it or take antibiotics.

Furthermore, you won't have morning sickness before you can even get a positive pregnancy test You need hormones for morning sickness, and the test picks up the hormones. So I would get a test, but if it's negative you can be sure you aren't feeling pregnancy symptoms. Test now and in 2 weeks just to be sure.

I *would* however call your doctor if this continues. I've had so many issues and I've suffered cyclical "morning sickness" due to wacky hormones and pain and I've never been pregnant. No one should have to suffer through pain and nausea. Migraines are no fun either. Good luck!
