The fancy part is that there is extra added ribbon to the bow in my opinion. If they were just plain show bows without the extra that would be just it "plain" in other words the added ribbon, crystals are what I would consider fancy and if you search other show exhibitors that make show bows they use the word fancy for what I described on their website...take the finishing touch who makes show bows and is also an exhibitor she uses fancy as a word too and she makes lovely bows as well and I own a couple of them too.

Mary I do believe makes what I call fancy bows as well as I think they are fancy with all the extra stuff she puts on her bows as I own them too and love them just as much as I do Carl's
