Hi FL Yorkie owners!
I have been posting about Moose's diagnosis with luxating patella, which is very bad in his right back leg but he also has loose, "floating" kneecaps all around.
The vet is not optomistic about him being able to function normally without surgery- he isn't in tremendous pain right now but just isn't his normal, active, playful self. We are doing 2 weeks of intense rest and starting him on Cosequin but all signs point to surgery so I have started doing my research early.
I have found 4 surgeons in Florida that are board certified with ACVS and specialize in Orthopedics for small animals (Moose is only 4lbs so you can understand my worry!) I just wanted to see if anyone in FL or anywhere else has used these surgeons for luxating patella with their little one. Thanks for your help!
