Oh and he does have pain meds, nausea meds and flagial (sp). |
so they gave you metronidazole, cerenia or metoclopramide? and what pain meds did they give? Personally i would deal with internal medicine as i dealt with vet and my dog almost died of this as they really need to be on 72 hrs of fluid and nothing through mouth - no food, no water, no meds as if the pancreas is activated by these things it can make it worse and more severe - i have dealt with it and they first did what your vet did and my boy was home for 5 days and relapsed and got real severe and he had to have a plasma transfusion to save his live -- you have to flush the toxins out of the body through iv fluids and rest the pancreas and stomach for 72 hrs so anytime they swallow something it goes through small intestines and affects the pancreas and wreaks havoc on system. I am really sorry but i would call to a specialty hospital as i do not care for emergency vets and discuss with internal medicine specialist. If they have diagnosed it pancreatitis then it is nothing to mess with -jmho
