A bunch of Nutro's products were recalled due to the melamine contamination, the FDA lists all the products (although I believe a lot of them were voluntarily recalled before the test results were back.) They show that the products involved were all cans/pouches. All of the cans in question had best buy dates of 2-14-10 at the latest so your cans are safe. There was a newer recall since then, but it involved the Nutro Max line for cats.
