Oh boy, sorry to hear that. I would say it won't hurt to spray some bitter apple spray or something to that effect.
How old is Marly? I asked because Duke did the same thing when he was teething to our rug. Our problem then was that he loved the bitter apple spray. He aged out of the that so if Marly is teething, the problem might just be temporary.
