I had all 4 of mine taken out, not put under either when I was 17. It was uncomfortable for a few days but not traumatic!

You might feel up to it tomorrow. I had a friend who got them taken out and went to work right from the dentist. I think the surgery has come a LONG ways from when I had mine out! (15 years ago)
