Dr. Hawthorne is marvelous, I wish he was here. I've never had him misdiagnose. Although, when he first got out of Vet school my mentor took a litter of pups in for dew claw removal and tail docking. He docked the tails all different lengths. She was so upset, she went to the vet that Dr. Hawthorne took over the practice and complained. He said well, you know we didn't go to vet school to learn how to dock tails in accordance to breed standard for each individual breed. So, I think you should learn how to do this yourself and he taught her. But, Doc Hawthorne has been her vet and most every exhibitor's vet in the area. He ownes one of her yorkes.
But, you're right, I've heard of people taking their dogs in to have puppy teeth removed and the vet has removed their adult teeth. Or taken them in for teeth cleaning and have lost their dog on the table.
