Good for you.

I retire at 5 years and spay them. They aren't bred until 18 months to 2 years, by that time they've obtained their Championship.....so that leaves 3 years of breeding, usually 3 or 4 litters. I've found that breeding them after the age of 5 you're asking for problems. Retiring them at 5 gives them a long happy life of just being princesses, that is well deserved.
