dawn dish soap, peroxide, and baking soda. you need to wash them a few times with it, making sure you really concentrate on the direct hit area. unfortunately the smell sticks for a long time and you can smell it every time they get wet for a while. i'm not sure what part to what part you mix up the solution but this is what the bather i work with swears by. all those deskunk shampoos really don't work like they say they too. and tomato juice/paste whatever doesn't do much.

edit: just found this -- 1 qt. of (fresh, unopened) 3% hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda, and 1 to 2 tsp liquid dish soap or liquid hand soap in a medium sized bowl.
