My gf's yorkie (tigger) - see pic, is scratching himself a lot recently so she dug around his skin and found a few little worm look alikes. I haven't seen it yet but she described them to be very tiny and black and when she killed it, blood came out. Does anyone know what this could be?
Tigger normally doesn't like showers but he stood still for his wash last night and a flea/tick/lice shampoo was used. He didn't scratch himself as much the same night but she found another wormy on him again this morning. Should we bring him to the vet? Thanks in advance.
