My mom makes "rice socks"! I thought she was on the only one on the planet. You basically can just fill a tall tube sock up with uncooked rice and tie it off at the end. Then, you microwave for anywhere from 1-3 minutes, depending on the size of the sock and amount of rice. It works very well in a pinch.
