Default Suddenly not using potty pads after being spayed

My 6 month old yorkie has been going on potty pads ever since I brought her home from the breeder and she has been doing great with them. She very rarely ever has an accident which has encouraged us to continue using them. However, after bringing her home from being spayed two days ago, she has now decided that she won't use them anymore! We have tried everything and nothing has worked. I sat with her today for over an hour with a potty pad and she wouldn't go. The minute I let her back in the kitchen, she made a big puddle on the floor. I did send a potty pad with her when she was spayed. Does anyone think that she could be associating the potty pad with the spaying experience? Could she be trying to get back at us for leaving her there? I just hope that this is only a phase and she will go back to using the pads. I live in a cold climate and going outside is not a great option for her. Any thoughts? Thanks for any info.
