Yes, he had fallen on hard times being an out of work Electrician...but, he could have tried other avenues just like the rest of America who's out of work without trying to make a profit off of an innocent animal. That's all I believe this was...he saw an opportunity to make $$$ at the expense of poor Lily!
Thank God for the do-gooders in this world who jump in to do the right thing and get this lil' girl the medical help she needed and off to a good start for a life away from her shameful previous owner.
