Yorkies are not yippy or nasty if they are socialized correctly and trained. Mine bark at the doorbell, when they see who is, they stop. To me, it's thier way of telling me " Mommy, someone's at the door, goody, goody, comapny, I'm excited". If they are exposed to people and/or other dogs as puppies they have the sweetest disposition you could ever hope for. They are very smart, and devoted to thier family. My only warning to you is this: Yorkies are like potatoe chips, you can't stop with one, trust me!
