I have a screecher! And I have to agree with whoever said it earlier that ignoring him is the only way. You can do it gradually if you want...but you are probably only prolonging the agony. I would put him in there with blanket and a toy (a safe toy) and go buy groceries (or whatever). He'll soon realize that screaming isn't going to get him out. And probably once he calms down he'll realize that the crate isn't the end of the world...it's actually sorta comfy in there. I had to deal with this when I introduced the car-seat into Sydeny's world...and it took a few screeching car trips before she callmed down. Now she's fine. Just tune him out or leave for a while. It will work...I swear! Good luck!
