Well, I wasn't suggesting longer necessarily. I had lots of advice....hitting the crate, saying hush, etc. etc.....NONE of that worked. Trace is a big momma's boy....where I am...he WANTS to be. If I put him in the crate and he KNEW I was right there....he screamed and pawed at the sides. I finally just started ignoring him. In the car when he would finally quiet down, he didn't get out, cause obviously we were still in the car. I think it just finally dawned on him, he wasn't gonna get out no matter what. Now he likes it. I say that cause he goes in it to nap or chew a treat. If you go this route, how 'bout putting him in when you get in the shower or perhaps take a quick trip to a store? I know he sounds pitiful, but he is OK

I can only imagine what other drivers must of thought this past summer.....here I am.... apparently driving without a care in the world...killing a dog. He was THAT loud
