I agree with the "maybe he didn't eat it" theory and also, maybe he crunched it up in really small pieces that you don't readily see. I thought Rowdy swallowed a paper clip, but I never found it either - so I surmised that he really didn't. If he seems healthy, no gastrointestional problems, then I wouldn't worry about it. Oh and, Rowdy did swallow a tiny red rubber band which came out about 10 hours later. So, maybe it came out before you started checking, not sure about that one though.
