Pumpkin is high in fiber and can help with both diarrhea and constipation. Since he has pancreatitis, I'm guessing it's to help firm his stools. I'm not sure if everyone who has a pup with pancreatitis feeds this with every meal, or if they feed it only when needed. Twice a day sounds like a lot to me if his poos are normal otherwise.
