I have always freefed Ziggy kibble who is 10, except when we had a new pup in the house and then I noticed Ziggy gobbling her food so fast she would vomit sometimes and started gaining weight. I wenta back to free feeding. I also give them yogurt and cottage cheese for treats, just a teaspoon or so. I use to give them meat sticks for treats until we suffered a case of pancreatis, I will not anymore. I do now feed them the special diet food from the vet for morning and evening, along with their kibble.
