UPDATE to those who care to know: My husband and I have discussed this matter, we're fairly certain we will not be making the trip due to the fact that there is no good place to keep Sadie and due to the fact that we'd like her to have a little more time to grow and mature first. Not to mention having her house trained will make it a little bit better case to plead against dad. We might go up for the evening and have a family member check in on our baby during the day we're gone, and we might not go at all.
Thanks for the kind advice, and for the advice given with a wagging finger, i appreciate your concerns, but am I a grown woman and don't need a lashing. |
I wasn't calling you irresponsible. I was saying it isn't a very responsible decision IN MY OPINION to get a 6 wk puppy before planning a trip that is going to involve being gone a few days and somewhere your pup isn't even allowed to stay. If that offends you sorry but I don't find it very responsible. I was suggesting if it was me in this situation I would of waited to get a pup after I got back or found one much sooner so I could of had her shots done and so on. I have also read lots of the posts and your other thread also. I'm glad you are deciding to stay and that is a responsible decision you are making, I also suggested you maybe could go yourself for the day because you were saying you don't want to miss it.
I am not lashing you and I don't know why you feel so offended if you don't feel your doing something wrong, I was just simply saying if you were educating yourself so much about yorkies before buying one you would of thought about all this before not once you have decided to get a dog, this should of all been taken into account as well as all the other important information you should be considering.
