That's a great idea about sleeping on the floor with her so she doesn't try to jump up on the bed.
On a recent family vacation I had to pull the mattress off the motel's sleeper sofa and put it on the floor because the springs were so bad, and sleeping on the floor wasn't that bad. I have an inflatable bed that I could use, and the inconvenience would certainly be worth it for my puppy's health and comfort! Thanks for the tip!
