You all have filled my heart with hope. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thinking optimistically, a friend of mine gave me an early birthday present. It's a cute little doggie bed. I have it hidden at my parent's house for now. One thing at a time. I'm just waiting for the allergy supplies to come that I ordered.

We will see my husband's doctor this week. He also is a respiratory therapist and is treating Michael's asthma and allergies. He was the one who suggested a Yorkie. I like this doctor much better than Michael's former allergist. His past doctor said no dogs. This allergist said there's no reason why not. The doctor put Michael on Advaire for asthma, Singular, and Clariton for his allergies. I am praying that this works.

My mother, who makes a point not to get in the middle of Michael and me, said she and a friend of mine are on a mission to get me a Yorkie. A female Yorkie in particular because I read females tend to cause less allergic reactions. My mother saw how I reacted to a pug puppy they were babysitting. I tired the puppy out. My mother said she hadn't seen me laugh and smile so much since before the accident. I must admit, I felt really good that day.

Michael was around the pug for four hours and had no reaction. Although, he didn't try to touch the dog. My parents had rubbed something similar to Allerpet on the pug before we came. The only problem with a pug is that they shed...a lot.

Thank you all again. I remain hopeful and determined.
