Welcome to YT, and congrats on yr furbaby, yr life will nerve b the same , just better lol.
I would do the x-pen, I put Miley and max in there while I was home during the day doing house work , a few hours at a time to get them use to it , and it works, when I need to go out. I first stared with Miley when I got her and a yr later I did the same with max.
She will be fine, she may cry at the first u can talk to her to calm,her down but don't take her out until she spent time in there.
