I am always a little nervous when we stay in a hotel if Maddie and won't leave Maddie alone in the room. I never know who will be coming in and out of the room.
I would try to stay with other relatives. This would give your dad an oportunity so see your furbaby and realize how she is part of your life. If you can't do this, I would choose to stay home.
